Virtual Walk through St. Peter's Basilica

About the Event

This Holy Week, and to inaugurate our virtual walks project, we are offering FREE virtual tours of the Vatican.  Usually, Holy Week is the best week to visit the Vatican, and to get a true sense of what it's all about.  Now, you can make that journey from the comfort of your home.  And enrich your experience of Holy Week or Passover, or just home quarantine!, with a decades worth of insights I have gleaned from leading pilgrims and patrons through the beauitful & compelling drama of salvation history.

In this virutal visit, we will enjoy an in-depth visit to the largest church in the world: St. Peter's Basilica.

What better way to prepare for watching the Easter service from home, than to enjoy a pilgraimge to this sacred space?  Want some behind-the-scenes insight into the backdrop for the stunning images you will see of Pope Francis celebrating Easter--alone-- at the Vigil or on Sunday morning?  Saturday night, April 11, is the holiest night of the year for Christians, and this year we will live the experinence in an extraodinary way.  Join us for this unqiue event, intended to lead you into the Great Mystery and Great Joy of the Easter Vigil & Easer Sunday!

NOTE: if there is a great amount of interest and sign-ups for this event, we will conduct the virtual walk as a livestream.

All the virtual walks will take place online, of course.  To participate you will need a computer with a good (fast) internet connection, and a phone or an iPad with WhatsApp installed and working.

Once you register, all the log-in details will be sent to you via email.  You will also receive a set of 'class notes' after the tour, so that you can full enjoy the seminar and learning experience.  We will also have a live 'tour assistant' on hand to help you throughout the process !

For the virtual walk on this day, we will be paying particular attention to the incredible Last Supper scene, and the Farewell Discourse of Moses, painted inside the Sistine Chapel.

As a courtesy, if you plan to no longer participate in the virtual tour, we ask you to please provide us with a cancellation notice at least 2 hours before the event.
